Surviving Valentine's on a Budget

We are on an extremely tight budget since my hubby lost his job in January and we lost my vehicle.... ugh. But love is still in the air at our house.... and I figured it might be at your's too.
To keep the mood right here are some frugal ideas I had:
1.) You could get a $25 gift card for $2 at restaurant.com. use code LOVE
(Just remember that you usually have a minimum that you have to spend to use these... so you'll still need some cash.)
2.) Get some pink or red colored post it notes and write love notes to your love and stick them all over the house where he will find them....
3.) Make it a red day... every meal has something red. I'm thinking spaghetti and meatballs for dinner
4.) Put the kids to bed early, if you can, and just have a few extra minutes alone together where you can talk uninterrupted.
5.) For the kids, make their lunch special - stick in a little love note and cut their sandwich in a heart shape, make heart shapes rice crispies and stick that in too
6.) Read Valentine's books that you can get at the library.
7.) Have your children right valentine's to each other with all the reasons the otehr sibling is great (or draw for the little ones)
8.) Last year I grabbed some Valentine's goodies after feb 14th on clearance to give to them this year (pencils, notebooks, etc.) Be thinking about this next week as your shopping....
Valentine's day is special at our house, not because of the money we spend, but because of the extra kind acts that we try to show each other.
If you have a frugal valentine idea I'd love to hear it.
