Rite Aid: Basically free cereal

I went to Rite Aid this week because I had $14 worth of +ups expiring on Saturday. And there was no way I was going to let them go to waste.

So here are my transactions:

Transaction #1

2 Tylenol Precise pain cream $5 each (with rain check)
2 boxes of Cinn Toast Crunch 2/ $4.88
small filler $0.50

Total: $15.38

I used $3 off $14 coupon from receipt survey
2- $5 off Tylenol IPs
$2 +up

I then paid $0.38

Transaction #2

3 boxes of Kellogs cereals $6.66

I used $1 off from Video Values
$1.50/3 kellogg's cereal coupon exp 3/22
used a $4 +up

I then paid $0.16

Transaction #3

2 boxes of Lucky Charms $4.88
used $1 off video values
used $1/2 cereals from coupons.com
used $2 +up

I then paid $0.88

Transaction #4

Pampers Cruisers $19.99
became $17.99 after my rewards discount
used $3 off $15 from survey
used $1.50/1 pampers from 5/1 P&G
used the last $6 in +ups that I had left

I paid $7.49 plus tax.

I was kind of bummed that I couldn't find a way to make more +ups, but I am still happy that I was able to get so many items that my hubby and babes actually use.

Anyone else feeling like the deals at Rite Aid have been a little slow lately?????

How did you do this week?

  1. We bought a bunch of toys (among other things) at Rite Aid this week. Unknowingly missed the $5 +ups on summer toys by 4cents. Seriously bummed! Saved $25.50 in discounts and coupons and spent $24.55. We're just beginning to learn how to make this work. Its a process... Thanks for your tips and tricks!

  2. Anytime you save more than you spent I think you have done well. And it is definitely a process. When I started at Rite Aid there wasn't this +up thing to have to worry about. All I had to do was calculate the coupons. The plus ups are sometimes a pain but I have noticed that I can be more creative with my deals when using them!
